Pelagian Crossover & Advanced Gas Blender Instructor

David is constantly keeping up to date with training and new technology and this week he crossed over to a Pelagian DCCCR. The CCR unit is Diver Controlled and the latest in CCR technology. It is different from the Inspriation in that you can have any size cylinders without unit modification and the scubber is larger for longer in water time. On the inspiration the set point is electronically controlled were as on the PELAGIAN the diver manually controls the unit. David also completed his ADVANCED GAS BLENDERS (Trimix) INSTRUCTOR Course. TRIMIX COURSE IN TENERIFE

Dive 24-7 are pleased to announce that Malik and Rik have completed their TDI Entry Level Trimix Course in Tenerife. The week went very well and although it was an intense course it was also enjoyable. The weather also contributed as a big factor, sunshine, blue skies and perfect sea conditions are always a plus for any course. Well done to Malik and Rik ! see you both soon.

The four friends really enjoyed their relaxing diving here in Tenerife. They saw lots of varied marine life including angel sharks, grouper, octopus and their favourite, the stingrays. Hope to see you all soon!

ROBSON GREEN in Tenerife

What an exciting day we had on Thursday as Robson Green (Soldier Soldier, Grafters, Wire in the Blood) was doing a film shoot in Tenerife for a program to be shown on Channel 5 in September.

Dive 24-7 were invited by Andy McLeod to supply our boat, Celtic Wave, equipment, safety divers and boat handlers for the day. Robson was a real nice guy and he had lunch and chatted with us through out the day. It was a great opportunity for us to meet Robson and also to be involved with a professional film crew.

Well done to Stephen and Christine for completing the TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures. It was a full on week but it was so worth it in the end. They wanted to improve their UK diving to make it safer and more controlled with run times etc.by doing the course. WELL DONE!

Three of the best lads we have ever met, Paul, Dave & Jonny from Ireland had a great week completing their TDI Adv. Nitrox & Deco Procedures. The weather was excellent and the lads enjoyed diving in Tenerife with 24-7. We had a great night out at the end of the course and oh how we laughed! Hurry back lads.

Derek had completed his CCR course in December in Ireland and decided to take advantage of the Tenerife Sunshine in January to dive the unit and gain experience. We had a great weeks craic especially when the guarda civil run their boat aground. Derek works for the Irish Coastguard and also runs Diveology.ie

Irish Tour Part 2

On The Irish Tour Part 2 we had Stephen McM, Stephen McE, Peter and Johnny. Again what a fantastic week we all had. We experienced lots of free swimming marine life such as Angel Sharks, Octopus, Moray Eels, Large Grouper and of course the Rays. Stephen got some great footage on his new camera. We concluded the week with a very entertaining night out!!

Irish Lads on Tour

Stephen from Seriously Scuba came to Tenerife with Pete, Tristan, Craig, Gary and Adam. Well what a week it was! We had great craic, superb diving and to top it all off the guys all seen a Manta Ray!! We ended the weeks diving with a BBQ at Westhaven Bay. We really hope that they come back to Dive 24-7 soon.

Kelly had a fantastic time when diving with Dive 24-7. It was Kelly's first sea dives as she normally dives in a Lake. She saw a ship wreck, more rays than we could have wished for and Dolphins!!

Celtic Wave goes to the Boat Yard

Celtic Wave was due to go to the boat yard and have her annual clean, scrub and paint. She was lifted out, had new antifoul applied and put back into the water. It was 3 days hard work but they say it never hurt anyone!

Lesley Amos completed a TDI Gas Blenders Course and also the TDI Advanced Nitrox Course. Well done!! Lesley really enjoyed the course as it gave her an insight into Technical Diving. She wishes to continue with other TDI courses next year. We are looking forward to Lesley's return to Tenerife.

New Marina is finally finished - Well nearly!

We have been told officially that we can move our boat onto the pontoon at the new Las Galletas Marina at last. David and I walked along the pier to view the new buildings. There are still a few finishing touches to be done but from now our customers can get onto the boat via a pontoon and not by the beach at Red Cross. We think that this is a great new facility for our customers and a fantastic but overdue facility for the community of Las Galletas.

You MUST watch this video taken by Pete Copeland. It was our first dive on 12th September and we were all mesmerised by the dusky grouper. Pete, Ian, Lesley, Trevor and myself all felt very privilaged to have seen him on our dive. Now we know where he lives we are going back to see him tomorrow, hopefully!!!
